According to your health, they can guide you to the next treatment option.

Use donor eggs

Your doctor may suggest you for donor eggs since multiple failures happen due to egg quality.  So, choosing the donor egg can increase the pregnancy rate.  It is based on individual preference only.

Frozen embryo transfer

This could be suggested as a trying option if your embryo is not good enough in the previous cycles, freezing the embryo is the technique that could help in future preferences.

Frozen embryos can be used, only after your concern. There may be a failure to get pregnant after embryos are thawed and implanted.  So, select a frozen embryo that is not damaged to avoid the risk.

Gestational surrogacy

This could be a crucial one in IVF, surrogacy is the process where a person is willing to give birth to a baby for another person or couple. It involves the surrogacy mother having no genetic relation to the baby.

This includes if you had a hysterectomy or missing part of your uterus, or ovaries. This can be chosen only by the couple who are interested in it.

What might have caused an IVF cycle to fail?

Your IVF cycle is not like a natural being; it includes a medical history, lifestyle concerns, age factors, egg quality, fallopian tube, etc., Staying healthy plays a vital role in increasing the conception rate.

Below are listed the reasons that can explain why the IVF cycle fails in the treatment.

Embryo quality

In IVF treatment, your embryos are implanted in the uterus lining with the higher-grading of embryos which has the success rate. Before implantation, it is the procedure to check the quality and only insert it.

In IVF treatment, embryos are implanted into the uterine lining based on their grading, with higher-grade embryos having a higher success rate. Before implantation, the quality of the embryos is assessed to ensure only the best ones are selected for transfer.

Due to some factors not meeting the result, the quality of the embryo becomes reduced after implantation.

Age of the Female Partner

Your egg quality can become diminished at certain ages.  This can also be the reason for IVF failures and can be identified by certain symptoms. However, women with younger age can have healthier eggs and have higher chances of success.

Chromosomal problems

If there are any abnormalities in the number of eggs that can be the reason.  Where, the structure of chromosomes in the egg, sperm, or embryo is the concern.

Unhealthy lifestyle

Following unhealthy lifestyles like smoking, consuming alcohol, exposure to the chemical field, eating junk and unhealthy foods, and no physical activities are also leading to treatment failure.

Conclusion

Taking another IVF cycle is an option, as it helps to increase the conception.  A successful pregnancy can depend on the cycle you have undergone.

In the second cycle may also give the highest success rate.  If you are planning for a second IVF treatment, just prepare for your physical, mental, and financial health.

The 1 ½ month gap is given to relax to make the right decision and also consult a doctor for a second opinion.
